There’s something timeless about walking by the water on a bright summer’s day. The world slows, the air feels lighter, and each step becomes part of a rhythm as old as the seasons themselves. Over the course of two warm days, we followed different paths yet found the same sense of peace — one by the lake in Tychy, the other just a short walk from home towards Goczalkowice.
At Jezioro Paprocanskie, the route wound gently around the shoreline — a leisurely walk of just over 7 kilometres. Trees arched over the path, offering shade and patterns of light that danced on the ground. The lake itself lay calm and reflective, a mirror to the wide open sky above. It’s a place that invites unhurried steps, where the mind clears as easily as the water ripples.
The second walk was closer to home — only a five-minute stroll from our door before the path opened towards Goczalkowice and back. Here, the scenery unfolded into long stretches of water and leafy banks alive with the hum of summer. The air was still, broken only by birdsong and the steady sound of footsteps on the path. It was the kind of walk that reminds you how even familiar places can feel refreshing when the weather is just right.
Both days shared a common thread: movement without rush, time without demand, and the quiet joy of sharing the journey. With Dorota by my side and Monty trotting happily at our feet, these walks became more than just exercise — they became moments of ease, reflection, and togetherness.
There is a calmness in still waters and open skies that stays with you long after the path has ended. And it’s often in these quiet places that the best memories are found.
