There are meals—and then there are Italian meals.
While visiting our dear colleague and his family in Italy, we were treated to a day that can only be described as a masterclass in togetherness and taste. Nestled in the rustic charm of the Italian countryside, we gathered at Cascina S. Nazario, a restaurant that feels less like a business and more like a family heirloom.
Joined by friends and extended family, we sat down to a four-hour immersion in culinary excellence and unhurried joy. Dish after dish arrived like chapters in a well-loved novel—each with its story, aroma, and soul. From fresh antipasti to slow-cooked secondi, every bite celebrated regional heritage.
Conversation flowed like the local wine, and laughter echoed across the courtyard. Between courses, we captured precious moments with our cameras—and even launched the drone to record the beauty from above. The sunlight danced across the weathered stone walls as children played nearby, a living painting of Italian serenity.
But it wasn’t just the food or the setting. It was the feeling of being welcomed, included, and truly inspired. The kind of day that reminds you of the best flavours in life are those we share.
